BARMBY LOSES APPEAL

Former Hull City manager Nick Barmby has lost his appeal to be reinstated as the manager of the club. It was announced a few weeks back that he was suspended from club, which later led to his sacking. It is thought that the suspension from the club and the subsequent sacking were due to the comments he made about the finances of the club. The decision to sack him was taken by the vice-chairman Ehab, who is also the son of the owner and chairman Assem Allam. It was revealed a few days back that Nick Barmby had applied for reconsideration into the job.

However, the appeal has now been rejected by Hull city, who have said that they will be looking at other alternatives shortly. Former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is the favourite to take over from Nick Barmby at Hull city. It has been a turbulent few seasons for the Tigers after they were relegated from the Premier league. They came extremely close to qualifying for the play-offs, but had to miss out in the last few matches. They finished the season in the eighth position, but it is now looking highly unlikely that they will be close to anywhere near the same next season. Hull city may have to sell a number of stars in order to balance the books.

“I have decided to uphold the decision to dismiss Nick for reasons previously stated. I would like to assure the club’s supporters that this decision has not been taken lightly and all other options were explored before I decided to uphold the dismissal. However, as explained in the press statement given by the vice-chairman, Nick’s behaviour has led to the breakdown of trust and confidence with the board and I therefore felt I had no other option,” said the chairman on the official website.

EVANS HOPES BARMBY GETS THE JOB

Hull City midfielder Corry Evans has said that the club is hoping that Nick Barmby, who has been appointed as the caretaker manager, will get the job on a permanent basis. The recent victory over Coventry City has helped Hull City rise up to 5th place in the championship, and the midfielder has said that he is hoping that Nick Barmby will remain in charge of Hull City for the near future. This is the third successive win for the club after the arrival of Nick Barmby, and he is proving to be a good manager indeed.

There have been a lot of calls in recent times regarding the managerial situation at Hull City. Many have been voicing their opinion that Nick Barmby should be awarded a permanent contract after his exploits in recent weeks. Nigel Pearson recently departed to Leicester City and it was thought that Hull City would struggle, but the arrival of Nick Barmby has ensured that things remain stable at the KC Stadium. One of the most important aspects in appointing a new manager is to continue the good job the previous man has done, and Nick Barmby seems to have attained this position quite brilliantly.

“We are playing some good football and the lads are all enjoying themselves and the team spirit is as high as ever. It’s more about continuity now and keeping things going and hopefully Nick does stay on and keep the job because we don’t want things to be too disruptive with another manager coming in,” Evans told the Hull Daily Mail. Corry Evans was also delighted that the fact that Nick Barmby is looking to instil an attacking style of play within Hull City, which is not only going to be easy on the eye, but also for the title race as well.
